Chuck, I know what you're talking about. Periodically I like to take the covers off and vacuum the internals to keep the dust down. Before I put the pieces into the new case I removed any dust I could find and reasonably get to. I don't think that's an issue right now as the system has only been in use for about 6 weeks. I only get to work on it periodically so these issues tend to drag out for me. NOT saying your house is no clean, but I have been AMAZED at the dust that gets sucked into these newer PC's with dual fans, etc. Not so surprised at work because we are a wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating and cooling equipment and supplies and all of our branches are combo warehouse/counter sales, etc. and "dust" is the norm. But I was AMAZED at the amount the PC's I have at HOME suck in. This is a 3 year old custom built home; the folks building it were religious about nailing wood over the vent openings during initial construction (in case you didn't know, lots of folks like to sweep stuff into these if they are left open !), etc. And you would think we lived in a grain silo or something will all the "dust" in the PC's.
