Heck, I feel accomplished after getting Windows installed. <g> All I can
say is that they darn well better be on the top of the board. I really
don't want to tear everything out just so I can look at the bottom side of
the motherboard for some numbers that may or may not be there.
Usually I try to write down as many settings as I can before I do the
reinstall. In this case things were so goofed up I couldn't even launch
Control Panel or Windows Explorer. I think that it still had the original
Win 98. On top of that a fair amount of application software had been
installed and uninstalled over the years. Luckily, I was able to back up
his e-mail to another PC before reloading it.

Usually, they are right near the PCI or AGP slots. For the good
brands, the el' cheapos don't even put a model on the sucker. It
really sucks, but boy do you feel accomplished after finding drivers
that work!
