Doh!!!

I knew that I forgot something. Although, can that be considered an
"editor" since the only way to edit (make changes) is to delete and
start
over?

Actually, I still use COPY CON abc.bat from time when I just happen to
be
at a DOS prompt and want to create something simple, quick, and dirty.
...and who needs a mouse?! Why, they're for sissies. In my day we had
DOS
and we were glad to have it. I used to have to code in BASIC. We
didn't
have electricity either. I had to ride a homemade bike constructed out
of
bamboo to drive a generator for electricity ...in the snow! Before that
we
had punched cards that we had to cut the holes in with a dull pocket
knife.

Hey, EDLIN was advanced compared to

COPY CON: index.html
  <your web page here>
Control-Z

Which, BTW, still works. <shudder>

MS Word (any version) can be used to produce beautifully constructed
HTML files. You just have to type in all of the HTML tags yourself and
save it as a text file. <g>

For that matter so can Notepad!
...and Edit
...and how about EDLIN ??? <vbg>
