One thing that should be noted ... if you have wireless connectivity on your home LAN ... even if it's behind a router ... you need to take steps to secure your access point. Because anything that happens on your wireless network is inside your private network.


WEP & WPA encryption are critical. They aren't fool proof, but will protect against most casual hack attempts. Changing your encryption key periodically is good. Plus, if your AP supports it, disable SSID broadcast.
