Don't think this is even necessary with FileZilla.  I set up the 400 as a
site in Site Manager (don't know if that part is key), and even if
connection is dropped, the next request automagically submits the user &
password to reconnect, then does the requested file transfer.  With that
feature, I can't think of a reason to concern myself with preventing the
connection from dropping.

Wow, this is sweet.  Far better than WS-FTP LE (from a few years ago; it
might be better now).
