If it's a case where .jpg and .gif files are being opened by Quicktime you
can change the default application associated with those extensions.  Just
open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer), click on Tools|Folder
Options.  Next click on the File Types tab and find GIF and/or JPG in the
list.  In the bottom half of the window you can click on the Change button
to change the application associated with that file type.

Greetings!

My company has written a small document viewing application on .NET.
Some of the documents are PDF, and some are JPG or GIF scans.  We are
having a problem where some of the users have QuickTime installed, and
it is the default image viewer in IE.  QuickTime does not have a
printing component, which causes difficulties for these users.

Does anyone know how I can help the users, either by removing the
QuickTime plug-in or changing it to let JPG and GIF images alone.  The
program does not appear in the Add/Remove Programs list.
