For many upgrades, Firefox will check to see if they are compatible. If they
are not, it will offer to look for updates. You do update extensions right?
For 1.5 it will do the same. It will automatically download all of the
latest versions and disable those that are not compatible. Firefox will
continue to look for updates for these disabled extensions.
