Just to be clear ... your 'wireless router' actually a router with both
a built in wireless access point and a 'n' port switch, right?

Although much rarer these days, it's possible to get a router that has
neither switch nor wireless, a router with wireless but no switch, and a
router with a switch and no wireless.
