We have 11 Symbol AP-4131 access points on our wireless network and need
to install another AP. One use of the wireless network is for scanning
parts and product with LXE computer/scanners. It's been suggested that we
install a CISCO access point because all the new LXE computer/scanners now
have CISCO radio cards. (The LXE's used to have Symbol cards but Symbol
no longer sell them to LXE).

Will a CISCO access point play well with the other 11 Symbol access
points?

Why do CISCO and SYMBOL access points cost about $500 when a Linksys AP
seems to do the same thing for less than $100. What do we get for the
extra $400.

Thanks in advance for any replies.
