Sure, but how do replies end up _in the digest_ before the questions? That 
happens once a week or so.

I mean, you'd think the question post would be timestamped/sequenced by 
midrange.com before it could possibly be sent out to subscribers. And until 
it's forwarded out to subscribers, there's no way that a response can get back 
to midrange.com for inclusion in a digest.

Basic sequencing never confused me. But digest sequencing??? That just strikes 
me as weird.
