"IE Problem" Yes, it is.

Sorry; couldn't resist.

Maybe re-install it? Use FireFox and go to
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/downloads/default.mspx

Other thoughts: Add/remove the latest MS patches. Run AV and AS
(anti-spyware) scans. Try it in "Safe mode with networking support"
(press F8 while booting to get the menu).

Subject: [PCTECH] IE Problem

Hi Folks,

Have a PC running Windows 2000 and IE 6.0.2800.1106. When you start IE
it immediately gets a window:

Microsoft Internet Explorer

Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

And then a bunch of blabber that has nothing to do with the actual
problem and then the box Restart Microsoft Internet Explorer is checked
and it repeats the same thing as many times as you would let it, NEVER
actually starting IE.

Any ideas ?

Thanks !

Chuck
