Anybody know anything about the rules relating to Domain squatting? There's a URL I'd like to register but it is currently registered through Register.com. However when you ask their WhoIs option for details it says that the domain is not found. There doesn't appear to be any web site or mail server behind the name. For example a ping of the domain returns a not found from the DNS servers. Short of finding who owns it and making them an offer - is there any way I can shake this puppy loose?
