It is very reliable.  It does got out briefly in thunderstorms.  Same as
Directv TV service, except it's a *little* more picky.  A regular rain
shower doesn't hurt, it's when the sky is black and lightning and such.

I just got an email from them that they are going to announce a new service
and modem that will give you 1.5mbps download.

I've upgraded modems once, and didn't see anything noticeable, but they got
me hooked on this upgrade already.

That is until my local electric co-op starts internet over power lines !
