I probably mismember, but doesn't that "fly under" Yahoo's ToS for the free accounts? Maybe it doesn't, but Yahoo certainly does not support it, given that they sell account upgrades that offer POP access. I guess if it had bothered them enough, they would have flipped some switch to disable services like ypops. Maybe not. Gmail makes no bones about setting up POP access. They even show you how to do it for various email clients. (Although they were a few versions behind the Tbird I had on my system.) - Dan
