The mouse properties seem to be different on every PC I have used depending
on the manufacturer and model. I don't recall options on controlling the
hover text so it might have been specific to a manufacturer. It may also
be that you may need to download Microsoft Power Toys, specifically Tweak
UI.

I haven't messed with Power Toys since Windows 98 but it sounds like a good
option to check out.

I figured out how to turn this off once but danged if I can remember now.

We've received some new notebooks in (Toshiba) running Windows XP Pro and
if
you "hover" over something with the mouse it selects it/executes it and I
KNOW there is a way to turn that off but danged if I can find

it anywhere. I searched all through the mouse settings, etc. No luck.
Google
was no help - but that could well be the Achilles' heal of search; wording
things properly when you have no idea what it might be called :-)

Anyone have any idea ?

Thanks !

Chuck
