Other than the usual "Use a different browser" what do you think of
upgrading to IE 7? At one of my yahoo accounts yahoo themselves sent me
an email recommending that I upgrade to IE 7 (with their little plug in,
of course).

For basic/standard home use, I would go ahead and upgrade whenever MS
releases it. Enough people have been Beta-testing that normal use will be
solid.

For corporate use, I would *NOT* upgrade until a solid test has been done.
In particular, any internal web apps should be tested, as should any key
external web apps. For instance, the web app ADP offers for time and
attendance does NOT work with Firefox, nor does it work with IE7.

I don't know the specifics, but there are ways to block the IE7 upgrade that
will be pushed down the Windows Update pipe. We are going to do so here
until people can clock in and out on it!

If you do upgrade, keep a few PC's around on IE6 for a month or so after the
upgrade. You may see some gotchas on (for instance) the application they
only use after monthend to reconcile the bank account, or some other rarely
used but critical function.

Fun, fun, fun!
