Now that I've got my system back together and on the way to where I was before
the disk crash my son's PC has decided not to play nice. When the system boots
it will get to the starting windows screen with the progress bar at the bottom
and then it beeps and reboots. I've tried to repair the installation using the
install CD but it is asking for an emergency repair disk that I either didn't
create or have lost (probably didn't create).
I seem to remember that I could just reinstall over the current version of
Windows but my concern is that I will lose all the registry entries. Does
anyone know if this is true or not? Is there a better way to get the system to
boot?
TIA,
Rick Chevalier
