Easy solution: Have him bring his machine to your house and get on your connection, do the download(s)?

My brother's hard drive took the big dive two weeks ago, and last night we
finally installed a new hard drive and reloaded XP. The XP install CD has
only service pack 1 on it. My brother only has a dial-up internet
connection. I convinced him to wait for me to burn a CD with SP2 on it. I
found that on Microsoft's site and downloaded it.

But now I'm wondering if there's a way to download all of the other security
updates that have occurred since SP2 was released, as well as IE7, in one
fell swoop. I definitely don't want to manually download each of these
separately; if it comes to that, I'll just have Windows Update take care of
that.

Also, this is a Dell pc, and the XP cd was Dell's. I was surprised that I
was not prompted to supply the 25-character product ID (?) somewhere in the
install. When originally prompted for registering, I had to cancel because
I did not have the account information necessary to set up the dial-up
connection. Makes me wonder if Dell's XP install disk is coded to install
on any Dell box without requiring the product ID. But that sounds
soooooooooo not like Microsoft.
