Have you tried looking at the IE add-ons, to see what is trying to run
when IE starts up? You may need to disable a particular add-on to
make the error go away.

Where to find the add-ons depends on the version of IE, but start
looking at the Tools menu.

Hi Folks,

OK, I give. I've run all KINDS of stuff on this PC with no luck. Antivirus,
AdAware, Spybot, Spyblaster, online scanners, etc. I've searched for this
error (and you get a million hits) and tried all kinds of things with no
luck. Whenever this user starts up Internet Explorer he gets this error. The
complete error is:

====================================================================

RegSvr32

No DLL name specified.

Usage: regsvr32 [/u] [/s] [/n] [/i] [;cmdline]] dllname

/u - Unregister server

/s - Silent; display no message boxes

/i - Call DllInstall passing it an optional [cmdline]; when used with
/u calls dll uninstall

/n - do not call DllRegisterServer; this option must be used with /i

OK

====================================================================

Clicking on OK gets past it but sometimes it comes back on certain pages.

PC is an HP running XP Pro, fully patched with IE 7.0 fully patched.

And one time yesterday when I rebooted this thing I got the error before IE
was even started (?)

Anyone have any ideas on this ?

Thanks !

Chuck
