PC is an HP running XP Pro, fully patched with IE 7.0 fully patched.

And one time yesterday when I rebooted this thing I got the error before IE
was even started (?)

Anyone have any ideas on this ?

p.s. My sincere apologies for making light. I've searched for similar totally bizarre errors before. Believe it or not, the last time I went on such a search, the fix (I kid you not) was to replace the freakin' keyboard! And it worked. That's not a suggested fix; just a note of sympathy.
