I walked in to Best Buy with my laptop which was not from Best Buy and asked them what was wrong. The people were courteous, fast, and explained things so I understood them (No small task!)

It took them about 5 minutes to fix my problem. But then they noticed other problems I was having that I didn't even know about. That took another 15 minutes.

When it was done I was pleased and expected a $50 bill. They said, "No charge, Glad we could help."
I came away very happy and very ready to recommend them.

As I said, I've never seen it light up (even in the presence of a wall-to-wall wi-fi signal).

Sounds like it's broken then.

Call Dell?
