f you need to select or reject a Dell laptop based upon it's reflection
level, the differentiating factor is that the TruLife screen is the
shiny/reflective one and the non-TruLife is a matte finish. I have a
matte finish and my wife has a TruLife, the best screen will depend upon

the environment you work in.

Here's an interesting read:

EXACTLY!!! That guy hit the nail on the head. It was funny but true.
Since all of the PC's that I see in the stores have the TruLife screen I
was beginning to think that there was something wrong with me because I
was the only one who felt that he couldn't live with it. Now, I'm
wondering if it will be a fad. The blog post was dated June 2006 so
TruLife has been around for over a year. Fad or not, it comes at a time
when I'm in the market. Unfortunately, I don't want to wait a couple of
years for the style to go back to a matte finish. I am, however, willing
to wait as long as it takes to find something that I feel good about
buying. Thanks for the confirmation that I'm not alone.
