Other options include PGP Full Disk Encryption, which I've been using
for several years, and SafeBoot, which was recently purchased by McAfee.
If you use McAfee's AV/anti-spyware products, know that SafeBoot will be
integrated into McAfee's ePO management server. 

Can you boot from a TrueCrypt volume?

The new hardware-base encryption should be good as IIRC it's built onto
the disk controller itself.  What I don't know is how it works from a
management standpoint.  Does it integrate with Active Directory or LDAP?
How are keys escrowed?  BitLocker will let AD escrow the keys.
