Dave,

You don't really need a third party app for this. The link I provided will
show you all registry keys related to startup. A quick way to check exactly
what is starting up is to run msconfig. There is a tab called "Startup" that
will list everything firing up, and where it's been configured to launch.

Thanks John and Mark,

I will give this a try.
<rant>
Still, it doesn't seem that it should be a big cryptic deal to control
this. That's why it doesn't seem right to me it takes a cleanup
program
just to find out what will be run on your PC.
</rant>

Maybe I'm just cheap or I'm skeptical because I have seen big claims
from
cleanup programs in the past that weren't everything they were billed
to
be, The program you reference is a free download so we'll see. Thanks
again.

I've got a couple of PC's running XP that have applications that
start
up
when they boot. They aren't in the Startup program group so where
are
they defined as startup jobs? In older versions of Windows there was
a
WIN.INI and SYSTEM.INI where those kind of things could hide. Where
should I look in XP? Somewhere in the registry?
