My son wants to transfer all his music files from his laptop to his
desktop and then abandon his laptop. Both are Win XP Pro.
The local PC store sold me a USB Xover cable to connect the 2 machines
and said to use Windows Easy Transfer ("WET"), which is free software
from MS. We can't get it to work. In reading the instructions for WET,
it appears that the target machine *must* be Vista. It doesn't
categorically state that, but always says "target Vista PC" or some such
thing.
Can anyone confirm that WET requires Vista as the target? Thanks.
