Was having problems starting session in iSeries Access with both my XP and
Vista laptops. One application that was common to both machines was System
Suite 8 Professional which has a component that run in the background to
detect changes in your system setup. By removing this application
everything is just grand with iSeries Access. This application is
functionally very good so I sent them off an email explaining the problem
and asking them if they had a fix so that I could reload the application.
The message that I was getting was:

PCSERR100: Error allocating 142 bytes from Windows Global memory heap. Close
one or more Windows applications and try again.

Sent them an email and I will post the results when I get it.
