YMMV, but the general answer is... if you buy it "preloaded" with the
machine then the license cannot be transferred, but if you buy it retail
then it can.

Subject: [PCTECH] Transfer a MS Office License keys

If I buy a new PC can I transfer my license keys from one to another?
for Microsoft or Norton /Symantic products?

MS Office Pro ( might have come pre loaded on a Dell- (I have not yet
decided on another Dell or Lenevo)

What does Downgrade from Vista to XP Pro mean/ do/imply for OS?

Glenn
