Check your CPU load in task manager. The more users, the more CPU usage.

I've had 6 user conferences without any hitches, but i have halfway
decent broadband (25/2.5) and a modern CPU (2.53 Ghz C2D).

Other people that tried the same with my home connection had much more
problems, their cpu was pegged at 100% (older single core Pentium M).
