I am interested in trying out some virtualization too, though in my case it's the other way around (Windows as the guest OS). I took a quick peek at the Virtualbox site.

There are three versions with various levels of restriction:

Free - missing some features (USB support being the most obvious to me).
No-charge - restricted to personal or evaluation use only
Commercial - you have to deal with payment and licence management (keeping track of keys, for example).
