I have a strange occurance with one of my XP Pro machines. We're running an old version of Paradox DOS for networks and some time last week they started getting an error:

"Invalid Starting directory, please check your PIF file."

I've done some searching and this is quite a rare problem. I've deleted the shortcut and re-created it with no change. No matter what I do it returns the same message.

I even installed SP3 to see if either Autoexec.nt or one of the other files might be repaired. Any ideas?

Bill
