Subject: Re: [PCTECH] BlackBerry Models/Choices ?

We are changing cell providers and as part of that we will be
installing
BlackBerry Enterprise Server and replacing all current handsets (you
name it we have it) with BlackBerry handsets.

I currently have a MotoQ which replaced my Treo when it died. I would
like to get back to the touch screen and am wondering about the Storm.
Anyone using that ? Likes/dislikes ?

Likes:

- Nice big display
- tactile screen
- Nice big display
- BES - but that applies to all BB's of course.
- did I mention the nice big display???

Dislikes:

- No WiFI
- Blackberry OS is not designed for touch screen. It gets the job done,
but
doesn't take full advantage of the interface.
- Can't use the back of a pen as a stylus for input. I have big fingers,
which makes it awkward to type on a virtual keyboard.
- voice call quality is not as good as the 8700 it replaced
- earlier software releases. If you buy one, make sure you upgrade the
OS to
at least v4.7.0.122

Neutral:

- Blackberry OS. It's the same as any other BB; you either like it or
you
don't.

Overall, it has a few warts, but the big screen makes up for it enough
that
I wouldn't want any other BB model than the Storm.
