We too are partners, but in short, the darn thing rocks! I started
running in VMs in early Jan too, but moved to it being my primary OS
when 7057 came out (Beta). I'm typing this on an RC1 (7100) desktop now.
We've deployed the OS to both our devs and our product managers (read:
not technical) and they all love it. Some moved from XP, some from
Vista. In almost all cases we're running x64. I am running x32 on my
netbook, but it's a 32 bit netbook so I don't have a choice. An machine
capable of deploying x64 will be deployed x64. We're not moving our
clients to Win7 until it's golden code, but they all know it's coming.
As for how we'll deploy, depends on the client. Ideally we'll either buy
a new machine w/it on there, or we'll pave the machine and load from
scratch. I know the upgrade path is nice and all, but I like a clean
machine, and it's simple enough.
