You should be able to click on the column in the dialog box and change the
sort, and I believe it will remember.

Ever since any Open dialog in Office presents the files in a
completely haphazard manner. Explorer windows still show everything
in alpha sequence, it only seems to be Office that is affected. I
have been through the preferences dialogs and cannot find anything. I
have also google'd but without success.

Any suggestions anyone?
