You could setup DNS on the i as the primary and the Windows box as the secondary. Just keep your i-specific entries on the i.

But.... now you've introduced the problem of keeping them in sync. I believe there is selective (zoned?) replication available but someone more knowledgeable about DNS than I am would have to weigh in on that.
