< Any ideas? >
Just another painful experience with M$ Vista/Windows 7.
I have done the same as you with XP and it worked a treat haven't tried with
Vista but I have had other issues that I'm working through.
Strange differences in desktops between different user profiles on a laptop.
There must be a setting I'm missing but one shows small icons as small icons
and another shows small icons as medium icons.
No major issue just an irritation for consistency.

Subject: [PCTECH] Weird one - hard to title...
Hi Folks,
This is happening on Windows 7 Pro.
We move the location of My Documents to the server to back up Desktop,
Favorites, Documents, etc.
We map folks to H:\ as their home folder
Well this didn't cause any problem in XP Pro but in Windows 7 if you try to
install software it comes up with an error pointing to H:\ not being
valid...
I was assuming this has to do with environment variables so I changed both
to C:\ rather then the concatenated version Windows defaults to.
That did not work.
I've TRIED finding a solution via Google but am apparently not hitting on
the right wording,
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Chuck
