After several updates of various software, still not printing through iSeries Access 6.1
on a MS Win Server 2008 Terminal Server.
I remote to the Term Server, but cannot print. iSeries spools it, & Term Server takes it in, but never makes it to Win print queue.
Desktop is Win XP Pro SP3.
.Net Framework 3.0 SP2 (- minimum is 3.0 SP1)
Remote Desktop software 7.0 (minimum is 6.1)
Several web posts and MSDN tech blog pointed to old version of c:/windows/system32/TsWpfWrp.exe - updated to 6-10-2009 version

iSeries Access has latest svc pack on Term Server
suggestion to put HP Universal Print Driver on my pc - did that - the pcl 5 version
I have a HP Laserjet 1200

iSeries client printer setup - hpt & *HP5, and also tries HP1100 and HP1200c
and also no hpt.

Printer def in Term Server does print test page, and Adobe or Word printing works. .

iSeries Access Service History.hst log shows printer session connection, but no printer activity.

Any suggestions -

Jim Franz

Subject: [PCTECH] iSeries Access 6.1 in Term Server on Win 2008server-printing fails

Printer (hp1200) prints from Term Server, but not through iSeries Access.
Get a very generic halt msg
"Windows Presentation Foundation Terminal Server Print W has encountered a problem and needs to close..."

The network tech claims all is set up correct.
iSeries Access 6.1 & latest svc pack loaded.

They followed MSDN Knowledgebase recommend update of .net framework on 2008 server.

Anyone else run into this? Trying to help a friend.
Their prev Win 2003 Terminal Server did this fine.
