Seriously .. "VERY recent" ... a bit of hyperbole, eh?

Office 2007 is over 5 years old and Office 2010 is 2 years old! They
aren't in a mess with their email, they are in a mess with their desktop
software.

Office 365 requires Office 2010 or Office 2007 with the last Service Pack.
Exchange Online requires Outlook 2010 or patched Outlook 2007. It also
requires XP Service Pack 3 and the .NET Framework 4 for the single sign-on
and auto-config utility.

Get them to upgrade .. at least those on Office 2003. If all they are
using is Exchange Online, they don't need to upgrade all of Office, just
Outlook. I would recommend getting all of them on Office 2010, or at least
Outlook 2010. It is just so much better than 2003 and significantly
better than 2007.

If the cash is a problem, they can upgrade to Outlook 2010 for less than
$100 per seat. It is well worth the money; Outlook 2010 is a dramatic
improvement on Outlook 2003. The expense of the switching to another email
provider will be higher than the expense of buying and installing Outlook
2010 or Office 2010.

Just my two cents.

I have a customer that is currently in a mess with their
email. They got into a deal with a small computer company

Apparently MS has decided that all the customers MUST
be at a VERY recent version of Office in order to receive
their email. (Office 2007 or 2010).

These folks are not current on their Office but most of them
have Office 2007 but a few have 2003(I know that's bad).

I am looking for other solutions.

Can anybody recommend a large hosted email provider that
I can look in to ?
