All,

A month or so ago we installed a new W2008 terminal services server to
replace an aging W2003 terminal services server.

Since that time, users trying to view PDF copies of recent invoices stored
on the IFS from thin clients using that TS server have found it really
slow. It literally takes a full minute from the time the link is clicked
on a green screen until the invoice shows up. On the old TS server (less
beefy) it only took seconds. It still only takes seconds if done from a PC
workstation. Opening a SS in Excel stored on the IFS is also very slow.
Of course, everybody thought everybody else told me, so I found out only
yesterday. Even though I've been asking if there are any issues.

The Windows Guy is speculating that it's because the new server is using
SMB2 instead of SMB. He can change the new server to SMB to see if that
fixes it. I said to hold on until I asked if there was something I could
do on the i side. V7R1, System i 520. Is there anything I can do on the i?

Thanks.
