Last week TechRepublic released a survey that 74% of enterprises were passing on Window 8 citing recently upgrading to Windows 7 or still being in the process of doing that. I think Microsoft could have really stepped in this time. It is their attempt to meld the user experience/interface across the phone, tablet and PC/notebook. New Windows phone? No thanks. Surface tablet? Interesting but so are a bunch of others. PC/notebook? Windows 7 is fine. Time will tell.
JMHO :-)

Anyone got any thought on quirks, burps and performance of Windows 8 vs Win 7?
I only use Windows to run RDP, but am just wondering if it is worth setting up a new VM with Win 8 so that I'm not blindsided when encountering it on client sites.
