Tom,

Do you use the company URL for your mail? How did getting that up and
running go?

I'm a huge fan of Office 365. It is stable and reliable.

O365 is not just the Office apps. O365 is:
** hosted email on Exchange
** hosted SharePoint - intranet and public website
** hosted Lync communications (think IM and GoToMeeting)
** hosted Yammer (think Facebook for corporation).
** there is an option that includes a subscription to use the Office
software suite.

You can pick and choose which of these are actually used for your
organization. If you just want low cost Office suite licenses, you are
probably better off going to TechSoup.

TechSoup is a company that solicits and administers donations from tech
companies to non-profits. They charge a small processing fee (typically <
10% of the value). There is a lot of software and even equipment available
through them.

Anyone have an experience with Microsoft Office 365, pro or con?

I'm considering it for a new Win 8.1 church laptop which is mainly
used for PowerPoint presentations and Internet access, Word occasionally.

Since we are a registered charity, it looks like Microsoft will
provide Office 365 free:
