All,

I'm 99% sure the IP address 192.168.0.5 is not in use on our LAN, but I
want to be 100% sure.

I've pinged it and get no reply, but some things don't reply to a ping, do
they? Or because I used an actual IP address in the ping, is that a
definitive answer that it's not in use because I got no reply?

It's not in the range that DHCP uses, but it appears that looking at DHCP
on the domain controller only shows those IP addresses /assigned/ via DHCP.

Is there a way? I'm on Windows 7.
