We replicate data between two cities by using NetApp devices. Think of it
like a SAN with replication between two storage units.
Find out what kind of HA solution the main data center has and if you're
site would be acceptable for backup.

Our data centers are only 17 miles apart. They thought of closing my
building (only 3 full time employees) and moving this back up site to
another building but it wasn't far enough from the main office to justify
the .25M cost of moving. New CEO says "if" (and that's a big if) they
ever decide to move the back up location may end up in our small office in
Grand Rapids.
