And now you've taken my latest post and used it as a launchpad for
talking about why people should upgrade their hardware and operating
system. I don't feel you were condescending or judgmental about it,
and I've already stated that I agree with all your points. There is
nothing but choir in this list, Larry. I just feel that you completely
missed the point of my last two posts now.

Which is understandable, because I don't think my point is even
remotely relevant to you. (If it were relevant to you, you probably
would not have called IBM's offering "Python 3.0", for example.) My
point is this: At *some shops* conditions are such that the practical
choice for near-term Python exploration is Python 2.7. For other shops
it's 3.4.
