It was discovered that our password for db2admin on our DB2 server was set
to the default.

I need to change it.

The main purpose of this DB2 server is one particular package which uses a
different user id to connect so we should be good there.

Assume we're complete idiots when it comes to administering DB2 on
Windows. Like, IDK if there is even a server based tool to access DB2
administration.

I notice that we also have a user called db2admin in our Active Directory.
If we change the password for db2admin in our Active Directory does it
change it in DB2? Or does that use some local db2admin?

I looked at the services running on that server which begin with DB2.
Their properties, Log On, either say
- Local System account
- "This account" and then /xxxxdb where xxxx has been redacted and is not
db2admin or anything close. I will say it is based on the package
accessing this server.

A coworker did download Data Studio and can connect to the database used
by this package with the db2 user id and password used by that package.
He cannot connect using db2admin db2admin.
