Would changing where the new Client Access installation looks for the
"private" folder help? Presuming you are actually installing IBM i Access
for Windows, fire up the IBM i Access for Windows Properties applet (found
in Windows' Start menu), click on the PC5250 tab, and specify the path in
the "Path to PC5250 emulator files" section. Refer to the context help for
more info.

If not using IBM i Access for Windows, there's probably a way to configure
it somewhere.
