OMG. I just changed the settings on an old printer/scanner to relay via
the IBM i and it worked. (relay allowed from 192.168.x.x addresses)

I don't need that email server in Windows after all.

No. Did not know there was such a thing.

In "Turn Windows features on or off" I do not see anything related to
SMTP. I expanded Internet Information Services and see nothing related to
SMTP.

Have you tried using the SMTP Server feature in IIS?

I recently changed desktops. On my old desktop I had the email server
from
http://www.fkeysolutions.com/ . It is used for relaying email from
some
scanners and printers here in the office whose email setup is not
"robust"
enough to send via smtp.gmail.com or the gmail relay. The software
works
great.

I installed it on my new desktop and have tried for a couple of weeks
now
to contact them. I have 3 email addresses, none bounce, but no one
replies. The "Purchase" button on the website does not work. It won't
accept the key I got for the old desktop many years ago. The latest
update
was in 2012 and I fear the site and software is simply abandoned.

I'm looking for a replacement product to run on my Windows 10 desktop.
Again, it's mostly printer alerts or scanned images being emailed. Low
cost or free. Any experiences or suggestions?

Thanks.
