Do you subscribe now to Office/Microsoft 365? It might be possible to include a Mac in the machines you can run it on (up to 5, depending on the subscription?). I probably have the details a bit off, still, it might be worth checking.

I just saw a post from 2020 that says MS has made this possible.

Aside from those two functions, I need an email/calendar client that is at
least as robust as Outlook (which I don't like but it's the most stable
client I've used, Thunderbird was a disaster for some reason albeit a while
ago) PDF creation and of course browsers. We also extensively use Word and
Excel although I would consider a replacement for those too.
