I know of no opcodes or built in function in the OS 2.3 - 3.2 range. Our
date conversion product must function for these levels therefore we had to
code for the same conditions you mentioned in determining valid date fields.

We move field to array. Evaluate each element. Move selected elements to
new array. Move new array to field for numeric functions. You know how to
test bits on each element for numeric values (if packed field) otherwise
simply TESTN on each element for selection.

Hope this helps get you started.
