This will not work from ASCII controller.
Attach modem to any AS/400 V.24 port, define CRTLINASC/CRTCTLASC/CRTDEVASC
(non-switched line).
Then vary-on all this bunch. When it will become varied on, use STRITF to talk
to modem.

This is interesting. Can you tell me how you do it for Async modems attached to

ASCII controller? I am having trouble using WinAppc on UDS V.34 modems. It
works
fine with USR 28.8. This will help me send the AT commands directly instead of
using the front panel.
