Sure sounds like a great business opportunity for an enterprising young programmer to work on between classes (hint, hint). This is the sort of package of procedures that I have wondered out loud about here before as to why we aren't seeing them show up commercially. Even if you are just wrappering existing API's to make them easy to use.
